Initial community grievances on the selection process and classification of housing assistance will be addressed at the level of CC. The CC may also arrange community meetings to explain the rationale for the selection process, grievance redressal process, beneficiary entitlements, community interface in the mobilization of materials and technical supports for construction, etc. The draft beneficiary list prepared based on the UNHCR survey 2006 and Housing Assessment Survey would be published and made available for public in;
- VRC information centers in each IDP camps
- Mosques, Temples, Community Centers and public places
- Secretariat for Displaced Muslim in Puttalam
- Puttalam Project Unit
- Miistry of Resettlement & Disaster Relief Services
Complaints will be forwarded to the district grievance redressal committee. People contesting the beneficiary list published by the PPU would support their cases with adequate documentary proof to justify their claims. The committee consists of:

- Four Divisional Secretaries-Kalpity, Puttalam, Mundel & Wanathaillu DS division
- Two NGO representatives
- Commissioner, SNDM
- Social Development Specialist as Observer
